The client wanted to develop a Content Delivery Engine that is SCORM compliant with new Learning Management System (LMS) features. The product delivers content, manages content and manages user profiles. The content store is an RDBMS wherein user and course related information gets stored by LMS. Content can be imported using a publishing tool or using a web interface provided content packaging is done in prescribed format.

The Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a set of interrelated technical specifications built upon the work of the AICC, IMS and IEEE to create one unified “content model.” The product developed is an e-learning product where a user can register and can go through the courses. The user can have online exams during his course and can check his performance. It facilitates the users around the world to register from anywhere for a particular course. If a user wants to publish his content he can do that, while publishing the content the Delivery Engine checks whether the content is SCORM compliant or not. If it is SCORM compliant it publishes the content on the LMS server so that users can share that information.

This product will act as the default delivery system for all course content developed by the client. However, a customer can choose any other delivery system instead. The essential features of this product include SCORM Compliance, LMS features including User Management, Authentication and Enrollment, Course Management, Analysis on user performance data and interfaces to support web publishing of course content.
