The criteria on which certification are provided by the QA team includes: All outstanding defects are resolved, retested and   approved All outstanding action items are resolved Documentation has been updated Once QA team provides certification, the code and all the other documentation is packaged and presented to the client. Any debug code that has been inserted to aid faster resolution of defects is removed and code cleanup is undertaken. The QA team initiates a final round of regression testing to ensure that the clean up process has not compromised the functionality of the project. The QA team also provides a proactive role by documenting system limitations and restrictions that have been observed as part of the testing process.
